Son of George and Mary Jones; seven brothers, two of them also died in WWI; John Daniel Jones died on 21 February 1916 aged 45. He was with the Royal Field Artillery and is buried in Ste. Marie cemetery, le Havre. Clement Daniel Jones was with the 21st Bn, Middlesex Regiment and died on 24th November 1917. He is commemorated on the Cambrai memorial.
The other brothers were William, Albert, Rowland, George and Basil.
