    In November 1915 he became adjutant to his brigade, being, in October, 1916, gazetted to the Regular Army. He fought through the battles of Loos and the Somme. In February 1917 he was attached to the R.H.A., and in September he joined the R.F.C.

Death

  • Artillery observation patrol; aerial combat with enemy aircraft; his B5774 Armstrong-Whitworth FK8 was shot down, crashed; Nosworthy was the observer, 2Lt AC Ross the pilot (also died of wounds and buried in Lijssenthoek)
